Off the back of a ute

When I snapped the hats shots of a week ago, I also took these pics off the back of the ute...
Ah, riding on the back of the ute. Although it is something we do with caution only around the paddocks at the farm, and with repeated instructions to hold on, sit down, be sensible etc etc. There is something quite lovely about sitting there and just staring out at the paddocks. At the sky. At the trees. At the sheep. With the air in your hair! The sun on your face legs (remember our faces are shaded by our hats). Makes you feel that the world is still an alright place.

And this time I was on my own on the back of the ute. So I had no-one to be cautious about. I was able to just sit there, not worrying about the track ahead, and just gaze about me. I can't remember what was on the dam as I took that photo above (probably a wood duck) but it left some nice ripples for my photo :-)

With that I must leave you. I do, however, have another farm post for tomorrow... and I will do my utmost to actually post it tomorrow...

  1. It looks so peaceful and quiet there. A place to go after the ECF craziness is finished?
