A web @ sunset

Here's another post about my train-of-thought while photographing.... Meandering? yes. Traceable? kinda! Rewarding? Methinks. Come and see...

The first post where I admitted to my thought pattern whilst taking pics was here, a post about a star picket. Well, this post started off with a sunset, kinda like this one but dustier...

So, here's the sunset from my viewpoint. Probably taken just after dinner, when the small people are in the bath and I'm madly packing up the tea stuff before the littlest one wants to get out. I think I noticed the colours in the sunset as I was closing the curtains, the curtains which should have been closed hours ago to stop the afternoon sun fading the lounge...

Something about the tree caught my eye though. There was still enough light to give colour to the leaves...

And we all know I like a shot (or two) of trees against the sky...

But then, hey, what's that in the leaves? A spider web? With the sun behind it? Hmmm... Oh, there's a few...

Let's take a closer look hey? Ooooh, nice. Do you like? I do! The shot at the top is from another angle to get the sky in different shades. Hmmm. Nice colours, though you lose the webs a little. It's all good fun :-) Even if the small people are by now, absolutely clamouring to get out of the bath! So you get nicely 'wrinkled' children to go with it - at least they are clean!

We've just been to Presentation Day. Another bit of good fun. Definitely a challenging spot for photography! Cavernous hall, low light, wriggling small people = one thousand shots with maybe 1 keeper! The joys of the end of the year hey?! Talk soon.

  1. Gorgeous photos as always. It all looks so peaceful - but then, I can't hear the clamour from the bathroom.
