Brown paper packages tied up with string

Today I bring you brown paper packages, tied up with string!

This is how I 'wrapped' those little pressies for friends that are awkward in shape...

Gather up the following supplies...

Plus a loooong curved needle...

Place one paper doilie on top of one (very normal from the supermarket) brown paper bag. Centred or not, as you like it!

Thread needle with string, this is probably the most difficult step...

'Stitch' paper doilie onto paper bag using string. Note the sharp end of the needle at the bottom left of the pic and the eye of the needle still yet to enter the bag (I did say a looong needle :-))...

Carefully ease enough string through to tie at front of bag....

Voila! A brown paper package tied up with string... a much nicer term than a brown paper bag ;-) Though we might all feel that we need a brown paper bag (+ accompanying bottle) by the end of the festive season!

And just to make your day... read the back of the paper doilie packet below... I'm happy to use these little beauties every day if this is what they will do for my life!
