Bottlebrush Babies

Well hello! Is there anyone still out there?!
It's been a looong time. A long time between posts... Oh I've missed this blogging caper...

What better way to start afresh then with a beautifully blooming bottlebrush?! A native of our wonderful country Australia, the old bottlebrush is a shrub that is reasonably insignificant for most of the year. But in spring, like so many other plants, it puts on a glorious show and we remember why we love our bottlebrush babies :-)

There's probably not much need to explain why they are known affectionately as a bottlebrush hey?

We Aussies like to state the obvious ;-)

These shots are fresh from the farm, taken yesterday, with gorgeous blue skies and (not that you'd guess it) crazy winds!

The old camera must have sensed my nervousness, or lack of practise, in fact it's probably taking it personally! These are a selection of shots from about a thousand that weren't at all suitable to post! Soooo many were blurred red masses blowing in the breeze... or with glaring light (and none of us need that as we sit with a cuppa sneaking in a few blogs hey?).

I think it's time that the camera accompanied me everywhere again; I'm out of practise. And right now I know I need some creative outlet. Plus I owe you one HUGE explanatory post...

But like the photos, these explanatory words are a little hard to capture at the moment too... I'll have to warm up to that explanatory post with a few sweet ones about pretty flowers, nice landscapes and maybe a small person or two...

Hope you are well and carrying a camera/sketch book/dictionary about with your self ;-)

Talk soon. I will be back in a day or so, yep, I've missed this blogging... I'll be back...

    1. Glad to be back! Glad to feel the camera itch too, was a bit disconcerting when I realised how long it had been since I'd taken a photo on the big-girl camera!
